How to Remove Tattoos

The tattooed pigments are in several layers below each other and must be gradually separated by the laser. The laser beam recognizes the tattoo dye, which separates and the pigment breaks down into micro-particles. They are washed away by the lymphatic system from the body or separated by superficial scabs. The scab disappears within a maximum of two to three weeks.

How does the healing work?

Immediately after the procedure, the tattoo is markedly darker in colour; this is already a sign of dye removal. The tattoo is initially covered with a thin bandage. It is best to wear loose clothing and not strain the area. After the procedure, direct sunlight should be avoided and strong photo-protection should be used.

How long until the tattoo is removed?

One to three treatments are required to remove normal amateur tattoos. Professional tattoos require 3-4 sessions, in extreme cases even 6-8 treatments.
