Profhilo® Structura
The breakthrough injection treatment has a lipolifting effect by restoring fat tissue. It is the first product aimed at regenerating fat tissue in the subcutaneous tissue while providing results similar to filler treatments.
What is Profhilo® Structura
It is an advanced injectable filler to restore the diminishing fat layer due to aging. After injecting Profhilo® Structura, the receptors of older fat cells are activated to behave in a youthful manner. It is the first product aimed at regenerating adipose tissue in the subcutaneous tissue.
What is the effect of Profhilo® Structure
Profhilo® Structure repositions and regenerates the superficial fat pads under the skin and connective tissue. It counteracts the flattening of facial curves and the overall sagging of the skin that naturally occurs over time. The resulting slight lifting and contouring rejuvenates the facial profile.
Who Profhilo® Structure is suitable for
The primary purpose is to address facial sagging and laxity. Signs of facial aging are partly associated with age-related changes in facial surface fat. The movement of facial fat pads is forward and downward with overhangs, cheek sagging, accentuation of nasolabial folds and loosening of contours.
- Remodels and plumps facial curves
- Restores tissue firmness and increases
- Contours the jaw and mandibular lines by firming the subcutaneous tissue
- Helps create a more youthful appearance without artificial transitions
How the procedure works
The Profhilo® Structura treatment consists of two sessions one month apart. The application is based on a protocol that evaluates the facial structure. The product is injected into the subcutaneous tissue through a cannula at the top of the cheeks according to the degree of laxity and skin density. There is minimal downtime during the treatment and patients can resume their normal daily routine.
Application of profhilo according to the type of aging skin
Sinkers: have sunken cheeks due to loss of fatty tissue in the areas. This loss of volume can create significant depressions in the face, making the face look saggy and aged.
Saggers: there is a loss of tissue and bulging of fat in the lower part of the face. The face is fuller, but in other parts, it looks older and tired.
Profhilo® Structura addresses both of these aging profiles by replenishing lost volume in "sinkers" or lifting and shutting down sagging tissue in "saggers", promoting a balanced and youthful appearance. Your aging profile will be evaluated during your initial consultation.
Why surface fat is important
Surface fat gives the skin the necessary volume and support and helps to lift easily. The natural distribution of surface fat plays a vital role in defining the contours of the lower jaw and rounded cheeks. By shifting and losing surface fat with advancing age, the face loses its triangle of youth and begins to "square up".

What is the difference between Prophilo® and Profhilo® Structura
Profhilo® is injected more superficially into the subcutaneous tissue, where it provides tissue repair without increasing volume. It does this by awakening dormant fibroblast tissue to regenerate collagen and elastin, visibly improving skin firmness, texture and hydration.
Profhilo® Structura is injected into the deeper subcutaneous layers for remodelling. It repositions and regenerates the superficial fat pads under the skin and connective tissue and over the muscles. Its advanced action on fat cells helps counteract the flattening of facial corners and tissue sagging that naturally occurs over time. The result is a lifted, contoured and younger facial profile.
Both treatments offer the unique advantage of adapting to different skin concerns and treatment areas. Thus, they have a comprehensive approach to the skin.
How Profhilo differs from fillers
Both the fillers and Profhilo® contain hyaluronic acid, but the fillers also contain BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl) - cross-linking molecules that hold the hyaluronic acid molecules together, give the fillers their structure and slow the rate at which hyaluronic acid breaks down in the body. As a result, fillers usually last for months to years.
However, Profhilo® is 100% pure hyaluronic acid and contains no BDDE cross-linking molecules. Instead, it is stabilized by weaker hydrogen bonds, allowing the body to easily break it down after approximately 4 weeks, leaving behind only newly formed collagen and a more youthful appearance.
How Profhilo® and fillings differ in overall effect
Dermal fillers are usually injected into specific areas of the face to create shape and volume in that area, with very little spread to the rest of the face. Fillers are usually used to counteract the loss of volume due to the aging process. Profhilo® is designed and intended to spread evenly from the injection site to improve appearance by improving skin quality without altering facial features by improving hydration, elasticity and texture.
