ABOUT THE TREATMENT (HOW IS IT DONE)
Which areas are suitable for the procedure?
The procedure can be performed on the entire face or only on selected areas, such as the lips and eyes. The excellent effect is also visible on the décolleté, on the backs of the hands or on acne scars.
Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is usually perceived by patients as an unpleasant burning sensation like after sunburn, which varies among individuals according to their sensitivity threshold. To increase comfort, it is advisable to apply a local anaesthetic cream one hour before the procedure.
How is the healing process?
After the procedure, the skin is red for 2 - 5 days (depending on the intensity of the procedure), small wounds turn into small scabs that fall off within 4 - 8 days. The skin needs to be heavily lubricated after the procedure according to the doctor's instructions as it is very dry. During the summer months, sun protection should be taken with the highest SPF ( 50+) creams.
How long does it take to see the result?
The effect on the surface of the skin is visible immediately after the detachment of the fine scales, i.e. within a few days. The process of collagen remodelling with subsequent skin tightening is noticeable after 3-5 months.
What is ulthera?
Ulthera is a technology that corrects signs of aging and signs of gravity in the face with a non-surgical procedure.
The fractional micro-focused ultrasound beam non-invasively reaches previously unreachable tissue layers (up to 4.5mm), i.e. into the depths of the platysma - layer, which until now has only been operated on by a plastic surgeon during a facelift. Ulthera basically uses the body's natural regenerative ability to gradually and non-violently restore the skin's memory and supporting tissues.
What results can I expect?
A single treatment will kick-start the overall regenerative process. The resulting effect develops over the following 2-3 months. Visible results include firming of sagging skin, there is usually a slight lift associated with it. Clients report that the skin on their face and neck is firmer. Another effect of ultherapy in addition to visible results, there is also the formation of new collagen, which is not obvious at first glance, but persists for several years.
